Homesick for You Even in Heaven
Rose, an aspiring actress, returns to her Midwestern hometown to reunite with her three younger sisters after an unsuccessful post-grad year of auditioning in New York City. As Rose and her sisters revisit their old spots and reminisce about what seems almost like a past life, she begins to come to terms with the fact that seeking success and yearning for something ‘more’ conflicts with the idyllic life they imagined for themselves since childhood. Homesick for You Even in Heaven is a coming of age story which explores the incompatibilities of personal happiness between family members. This film depicts Rose and her sisters, in the face of this disillusionment, navigating the ways in which their relationships both remain the same, and how they must evolve.
